At the age of 21, I embarked on a journey to Toronto, Canada, for my studies, where I was deeply inspired. It was there that I made a firm decision to start a business aimed at showcasing Japan's charm to the world by the age of 30. Following through on this commitment, I launched my venture at the age of 30, expanding a Japanese izakaya chain to four countries worldwide. Building on this experience, in 2019, I founded "WorkingHolidayCareer.com," a career support service tailored for individuals with working holiday, study abroad, and overseas experience.

Presently, through our service, we not only assist companies in their global expansion efforts but also contribute to the personal fulfillment and growth of individuals with overseas experience, striving to make a difference in their career paths.

Could you please tell me about your previous work experience?
To promote Japan's charm to the world through Japanese food culture and to create a base for sending Japanese youth abroad, I started a business with a Japanese-style specialty izakaya franchise headquarters. We expanded our presence to four countries (Thailand, Canada, Taiwan, China) and operated an inbound cafe in Harajuku, Tokyo, to welcome inbound tourists.

Over the past decade, in order to thrive with restaurants targeting foreigners both domestically and internationally, I have been gathering talent from around the world with working holiday and study abroad experience.

Why did you establish J Styles?
We established our company with the desire to further uplift Japan by supporting Japanese companies in their global expansion efforts from a personnel perspective. Additionally, we aim to create a world where individuals with working holiday, study abroad, and overseas work experience can better leverage their valuable experiences in their careers.

Our company is comprised entirely of individuals with overseas experience, all sharing the common goal of further uplifting Japan through career support for fellow overseas-experienced individuals. We are actively seeking individuals who resonate with this vision from both domestic and international backgrounds, aiming to build a robust team dedicated to supporting working holiday, study abroad, and overseas-experienced individuals in their careers.

Could you please explain your current job responsibilities?
As the representative of the company, my main responsibilities include catering to new corporate clients, developing marketing media, and expanding our network of domestic and international partners. Additionally, I am actively engaged in conducting interviews and counseling sessions with individuals who aim to leverage their overseas experience for entrepreneurship or are interested in joining our team.

A word of advice for those aiming to pursue a career where they can excel globally!
I believe that essential qualities for thriving in the future are "self-reliance," the ability to create one's own life independently from reliance on companies or organizations, and "global competence," the capacity to travel anywhere in the world and pursue opportunities beyond the borders of Japan. To cultivate these two strengths, I strongly recommend venturing abroad and working locally at a young age.
