PROFILE

I am a returnee from Canada and a career consultant with extensive experience across telecommunications, IT, and HR industries. After working in corporate sales and human resources, I transitioned into career support. Drawing on my own experience of changing jobs 13 times, I focus on helping job seekers overcome uncertainty and confusion with practical, actionable guidance.
I specialize in supporting individuals who feel “I’m not good at talking” or “I lack confidence,” helping them feel at ease and fully prepared to succeed in interviews.

Q
What are your areas of expertise?
Industries: Manufacturing / Trading / HR / Education
Roles: Sales / HR / Administrative Positions

Consultation Areas:
Career planning after returning from working holidays or study abroad / Career change from no experience / Improving document screening success rates / Interview preparation that builds confidence / Designing career paths after joining a company

Support Targets:
Individuals with little or no work experience in Japan / Those who struggle with communication / Those who want help identifying their strengths / Those who have difficulty receiving job offers / Those unsure how to leverage their international experience / Those who are unsure what they want to do next
Q
Can you tell us about your background and career history?
I spent ages 10 to 13 in Canada. After graduating from university, I worked in product marketing and corporate sales at global telecommunications and IT companies such as Toshiba, Nokia, and Openwave.
Later, I joined an offshore development company in Bangladesh, where I helped establish the HR development department and was responsible for recruitment, training, and system design.

Since 2017, I have focused on career support, providing individual consulting, developing training programs, conducting corporate workshops, and engaging in publishing activities.
In 2024, I joined J-Styles, where I support individuals returning from working holidays and study abroad programs as they build their careers in Japan.

Q
What message would you like to share with those considering career support?
“I went on a working holiday on impulse, but now I don’t know what I can do.”
“I’m not good at talking, and interviews scare me.”
These are the kinds of concerns I hear every day.

I believe my role is to uncover the “treasures” each job seeker already possesses.
The experiences you gained abroad are things you could never have learned in Japan.
Think about how few Japanese people have lived overseas — the challenges you faced and overcame are rare and valuable. Don’t you think those experiences could contribute to the growth of companies in Japan?

Japanese society needs people with international experience far more than you might imagine.

Let’s work together to create a brighter future — for you, for the companies you’ll join, and for Japan.
